In this SUPboarder Pro video breakdown we look at a clip sent to us by Adam from the East Coast of USA. Adam asked about back foot placement saying he was struggling to get his back foot to the stomp pad consistently. He also asked whether he needed to bend his knees and commit more on his wave.

We hope you find this video interesting. Foot placement is by far the hardest thing to get right when surfing. It shouldn’t feel a struggle to stand on certain parts of the board, but if it does then you might be standing on the wrong part or it might be the right part but at the wrong time. So just remember, when doing top turns, cutbacks and re-entries your foot should be over the tail pad. And when doing bottom turns and general trimming along a wave just in front of the tail pad is spot on.

The SUPboarder team will happily share with you all they know!
